The 2017 Toyota Highlander offers a driving experience to remember. The Toyota Highlander is a mid size crossover built on the platform of the Toyota Camry. It was first announced in 2000 at the New York Auto Show and became the first car based mid size crossover or mid sized SUV. The 2017 Toyota Highlander will be a third generation of the Crossover. Unveiled on March, 2013, at the New York International Auto Show, the third generation Highlander is longer and wider than the predecessor, and it abandons the boxy look in favor of a design that is more similar to other mid sized crossovers. The 2017 Toyota Highlander model will be upgraded and will have some thrilling changes externally, in the cabin and most likely a new engine. This is a family wagon and is ideal for daily use. The second engine option is the 3.5 liter V6 gasoline engine with an output of 270 HP and a torque of 337 pound feet. This engine can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 8 seconds. Both these 2017 Toyota Highlander engines are classed as ultra low emission vehicle. The 2017 Toyota Highlander is expected to have a fuel efficiency of below 18 mpg for city driving and below 24 mpg for highway driving. These engines will be paired with a 6 speed automatic transmission. The 2017 Highlander will be a front wheel drive SUV.
