2016 Honda CR-V Release date and Price

Honda did a facelift of its CR-V for 2015 model year, so 2016 Honda CR-V will be practically the same as 2015 variant. Changes we can expect are related to some additional colors, or some features shuffle, but beside that, nothing major is scheduled to happen. Honda originally started the production of its CR-V SUV back in 1995, and current version belongs to fourth generation of the popular model. The fifth generation will probably begin with 2017 model.

2016 Honda CR-V design and features

2016 Honda CR-V is a five-passenger SUV and it comes available in four trim levels, including LX, EX, EX-L and Touring. Both exterior and interior is equipped with some of the best features available, and even the base trim, LX, comes highly equipped. Exterior is not changed, since last previous model year brought small redesign which included couple of tweaks on the front and rear end of the vehicle.

2016 Honda CR-V LX comes with these standards: 16-inch steel wheels, a backup camera, cruise and climate control, a tilt/telescoping steering wheel, a 60/40-split-folding and reclining rear seat, height-adjustable driver’s seat, Bluetooth connectivity (phone and audio), and audio system with 4 speakers, a CD player, an AUX jack, an iPod/USB audio interface and Pandora Internet radio compatibility.

Two-zone climate control, LDW, leather upholstery, navigation system and HD radio are just few features found, as standard, on the upper trims, among many others.

2016 Honda CR-V engines and mpg

Since last year, 2015, Honda CR-V comes with only one engine, a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine capable to deliver 185 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque.  CVT is also the only available transmission for the all-range of 2016 Honda CR-V. Front-wheel drive is standard (for most trims) and all-wheel drive is also available as optional.

Fuel economy rates are unchanged also, since Honda will not make any changes that could influence the fuel consumption of the model.CR-Vs with AWD deliver 26/33/28 mpg city/highway/combined, while with FWD popular SUV brings back 27/34/29 mpg city/hwy/combined. These great numbers are possible thanks to the four-cylinder engine, since the producers are widely switching their V6’s with I4, due to a high demand for efficiency on the markets.
