2015 Nissan Patrol Review, Price

2015 Nissan Patrol will come with minor changes, due to the fact that Nissan did a facelift of its Patrol for 2014. Current Patrol presents the sixth generation, which started back in 2010 when full redesign was done. Previous generation lasted about 10 years, on average, so we do not expect any significant redesign any time soon.

2015 Nissan Patrol comes available in three trim levels, base XE, SE and LE. Beside base XE, both SE and LE are divided into four sub-trims, which include marks T1, T2, Platinum and Platinum City. Packed with a single engine and with divercity of transmissions, 2015 Nissan Patrol trims are also highly equipped.

Standard equipment on the base trim, XE, includes 18-inch alloy wheels, remote entry with intelligent key, push button start, power locks and windows, manual tilt-and-telescopic  steering wheel, two-zone automatic climate control, cruise control and 4 speaker audio system with AM/FM/CD  and AUX input.

If you go a step further down the line, SE-T1 trim is packed with new grill with chrome accents, LED taillights, foglights, parking sensors, leather wrapped steering wheel, backup camera, 6-speaker sound system and iPod/USB/MP3 Connectivity.

2015 Nissan Patrol SE-T2 adds on LED daytime running headlights, rear foglights, remote engine start, power adjustable seat, Soonroof, 7-inch LCD screen with DVD player and Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity.

SE Platinum builds on 20-inch alloy wheels, intelligent key with memory setting and synchronized with climate control, roof rails, leather upholstery, leather-wood steering wheel, auto tilt-and-telescopic  steering wheel, memory settings, Hands-free HDD Navigation System, heated/cooled front seats, 8-inch LCD screen with DVD player, and 13-speakers BOSE Premium Audio system.

SE Platinum City is even better equipped and comes with all equipment of the previous trim and adds chrome city bumper, foglight chrome finisher, Around View Monitor with parking assist, and rear DVD entertainment system.

2015 Nissan Patrol LE starts building on the features found on the SE-T1, and goes from that. Each sub-trim level adds numerous features that come as part of standard package.

Beside standard offerings, Nissan provided three optional packages, one on T2 (both SE and LE) and two on Platinum (SE and LE). On T2 trim, the package is the same -Premium Audio Package. 2015 Nissan Patrol Platinum trims offer two – Family Entertainment Package and, depending on trim either Parking Guide Package (SE Platinum) or Advanced Safety Shield Package (LE Platinum).

2015 Patrol comes with only one engine included into the offer. It is a 5.6-liter V8 engine, while its output varies depending on trim. For base XE and all variants of the SE trim, this engine produces 317 horsepower and 385 lb-ft of torque. LE trim gets slightly better output and produces 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque.

4WD is standard on all trims, while transmissions also vary. XE and SE-T1 are packed with 6-speed manual as standard and 5-speed automatic as optional. SE-T2, SE Platinum and SE Platinum City all come with 5-speed automatic as only option. All variants of the LE trim are packed with a 7-speed automatic gearbox as standard and only option.

Direct rival of the 2015 Nissan Patrol is Toyota Land Cruiser. On the other hand, little known is that Nissan Patrol also competes in the luxury SUV category, under the Infiniti badge, as Infiniti QX56, and its stronger competitors come exactly from this category.

2015 Nissan Patrol price and release

Price nor release are not published yet. It is expected for the popular SUV to appear on the markets early on 2015, but no official data is revealed yet. Price shouldn’t be increased, at least not significantly since there is no changes that may caused the price boost. We believe that 2015 Nissan Patrol base price will continue to be around $45 000, just like its predecessor.
