Five-seat crossover SUV, 2015 Jeep Patriot, comes with small changes. And even though we can say that Patriot is the most economical solution for SUV lovers, we have to be fair, and say that its low price reflects the poor amount of standards. On the other hand, Patriot will deliver great off-road capabilities.

2015 Jeep Patriot has the same trim line-up. In includes Sport, Latitude and Limited trim levels, with two mid-trim levels: Altitude Edition and High Altitude Edition.

Sport variant includes 16-inch steel wheels, roof rails, foglights, cruise control, cloth upholstery, a tilt-only steering wheel, a 60/40-split-folding rear seat and a 4-speaker audio system with a CD player and an AUX audio jack.

Mid-trim, Altitude Edition includes slightly bigger wheels, 17-inchers, rear bumper painted in body color, and black exterior accents.

2015 Jeep Patriot Latitude gets all standards of Sport trim, plus adds 17-inch silver alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a height-adjustable driver seat, heatable front seats, , reclining rear seatbacks, steering-wheel mounted audio controls, power heated mirrors, keyless entry and power locks and windows.

High Altitude Edition adds couple more features, such as gray 17-inch alloy wheels, a moonroof, a 6-way power adjustable driver seat and leather upholstery.

Top trim, Limited, is greatly equipped. Upgraded exterior trim, automatic A/C, a driver’s computer, CD changer with satellite radio and leather upholstery are all part of standards on this trim.

2015 Jeep Patriot is available with two engines and two drivetrains. Base power unit is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that is capable to deliver up to 158 horsepower and 141 pound-feet of torque. It comes mated to a front-wheel drive (standard) and 5-speed manual transmission. All-wheel drive and both six-speed automatic and CVT are available as optional, but with some minor equipment requests.

Base engine combined with manual transmission delivers 23/30/26 mpg city/highway/combined, with automatic 21/28/24 mpg, and with CVT 22/27/24 mpg.

Optional engine is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 172 hp and 165 lb-ft of torque and it comes with all-wheel drive, either Freedom Drive I or Freedom Drive II (off-road). Freedom Drive I option gives you transmission choice between 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic, while Freedom Drive II is exclusively mated to a CVT. 2015 Jeep Patriot Limited comes with this engine under the hood as standard, even with FWD.

In front-wheel drive form, and with 6-speed automatic the 2.4-liter Patriot returns 21/28/23 mpg city/hwy/combined, while with 5-speed manual it offers 2 miles more in combined ride, while in the city and on the hwy, it has the same rates. With Freedom Drive I 2015 Jeep Patriot delivers 21/27/23 mpg (6-speed automatic) or 22/27/22 mpg (5-speed manual). With Freedom Drive II fuel economy is rated at 20/23/21 mpg.

2015 Jeep Patriot will have tough competitors, primarily due to the fact that the styling and features of its competitors are on a better level. Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, Ford Escape and Subaru Forester are closest rivals.

2015 Jeep Patriot price and release

Jeep already release its Patriot, and its base trim is available with the price tag of $16 695. However the price of this SUV could go up to $26 695 for the top level Limited.
