Lately SUVs often fall into two categories at the same time, due to their size differences, but 2015 Infiniti QX80 is a perfect example of traditionalism. Its size, functions, equipment all fit to the standards prescribed for full-size crossovers. Changes made for 2015 model year are not significant, because the key features are the same. 2015 Infiniti QX80: Upgrades and Changes

If you look at the QX80’s exterior you will notice that its style has been inspired by his design cues. Design of the upper and lower grill is different, but it doesn’t sums up all front side changes. Lights and turn signals are LED now, while the new bumper has few purposes. Infiniti Incorporated sensors into front fender, so it could have more effective adaptive cruise control and forward collision-alert system, which are now part of QX80 equipment. Interior is much more luxurious than before. Infinity make sure to add on few desirable features which will be add to standard set, but beside that it add more details that make a big difference. Altered cabin is now available in three new trim options, while optional features are also expanded into two more packages. Theater package already existed, so Driver Assistance and Deluxe Technology add incredible non-standard feature options that are rarely found in this car category. New QX80 goes even a step further by adding another trim level which is made for high, over-the-top luxury featured version, called Limited. This top luxury trim has all features named in all three optional packages, so tech enthusiast will fall in love with this version.

2015 Infiniti QX80: Performance and Fuel Economy

2015 QX80s has only one engine option, but its high power and great performance makes a perfect fit for this SUV. A 5.6-liter V-8 engine is capable to produce up to 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque, which is pretty impressive. There is also only one transmission mated to this engine, a 7-speed automatic, while there are both AWD and RWD available. Having in mind the size of the vehicle, its acceleration time – 7 seconds, is quite impressive. Fuel economy rates are not so impressive though. 14 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway, is pretty expensive.

Most often mentioned rival for 2015 Infiniti is the Cadillac Escalade, due to models similarity and practically the same target market. Its competitors from Mercedes and Land Rover factory all have lower fuel economy rates, so we assume QX80 will be the one tough to beat in the upcoming year.

2015 Infiniti QX80: Release Date and Price

2015 Infiniti QX80 was presented at the 2014 New York Auto Show and Infiniti plans to release the luxury QX80 on sale in fall this year, just a few months away. Price tag for this model  is not published yet, but expect few thousand increase compared to the last year model, which was sold at the base price of $ 62,700.
